Legal Translation and Review Solutions, LLC (LeTR Solutions) is a fast growing and innovative translation, interpretation and legal discovery company. LeTR Solutions was founded by Andrew Cohen on the basic premise of solving language problems in the legal discovery business.
Andrew Cohen is a Japanese speaking attorney licensed to practice in Washington, D.C. Mr. Cohen graduated from Brandeis University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts. He then moved to the Northern Japan where he learned Japanese while teaching English to elementary school and middle school students. Mr. Cohen then attended the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 2003. While in Law School, Mr. Cohen was an editor on the Pacific-Asian Law and Policy Journal and completed the Pacific-Asian Legal Systems certificate program.
Mr. Cohen has worked for law firms in Tokyo and Washington, DC helping with discovery on large patent and antitrust cases. He has worked in Japanese legal discovery for more than 10 years leading teams of document reviewers, participating in overseas document collections, running quality control programs to ensure the accuracy of work product, drafting privilege logs, providing summary translations and other discovery related work projects.
An avid researcher, Mr. Cohen performs historical research about World War II in the Pacific Theater of Operations at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland and is currently working on a book that examines problems between the Medical Case and the Tokyo War Crimes Trials involving human experimentation. He is also familiar with the research techniques used to find information at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and the National Library of Medicine in Bethesda, Maryland.
LeTR Solutions is an active member of the American Translators Association and the National Capitol Area Translators Association.
